We netted well over $5,000 from our Book Sale this year, an increase of more than $950 above last year’s proceeds. We’ll donate almost all of this to the Johnston Public Library! Thanks to some great volunteers from the Silver Cord high schoolers (some pictured here) and a crew from the Youth Homes of Mid-America!

The recipients of Johnston Lions Club grants for the past fiscal year has been updated on http://54.174.50.40/contributions/. For the second year in a row, we have contributed over $20,000 to our community and International Lions supported projects and programs.
We found this lovely note and decorated box full of recycled eyeglasses, recently. The St James Lutheran Church here in Johnston were thoughtful and joyful. We thank them very much for their spirit of helping those in need.
The annual Sports Program Ads project had a solid gain this year, splitting the proceeds with the Johnston Schools Booster Club, to the tune of $4,250.
