The Johnston Lions Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization to which tax deductible contributions can be made, to support charitable or educational purposes consistent with those of Lions Clubs International, including public improvements to the community of Johnston.
The Lions Club has committed to raise $50,000 for the Foundation, to enhance a planned city picnic shelter in the Johnston Commons area near the Library. As of April 2023, the Foundation has donated $30,000 to the city toward the shelter, and set aside $12,750 of the remaining $20,000 commitment.
