Acting at the direction of the Johnston Lions Club board, and with the approval of Lions Clubs International, we have now established a Johnston Lions Foundation which will serve as a vehicle for receiving tax deductible contributions for charitable purposes consistent with Lions’ purposes. The State of Iowa has certified the Articles of Incorporation, and the Internal Revenue Service has issued an Employer Identification Number and letter of finding that the Foundation is properly designated as a 501(c)3 organization.
